Dinner was over, he told them all about the job at hand and the schemetics he had gotten from Captain Conservan. Sure the man was a bit crazy, but his information never steered Lucius wrong, in fact it kept him flying for a total of eight years and counting and perhaps the only person that knew what they actually did to Lucius at the facility. He didn't figure his crew needed to know at all, none of them needed to know. Perhaps that's why he continually looked for new crew, so he wouldn't have to worry about getting close to any of them to tell them what happened. It wasn't the best thing, but he knew he had to, just to keep sane. A sigh pushed from his lips as he sat down at the controls of his ship and stared out the window before him. Resting against the back of the pilot's chair, he let his eyes close, figuring Mercy would probably come in after him anyways, she did want to talk about something, so this was the perfect time, no?

Mercy had her moments she would follow Lucius even in death, she was afraid that she would lose everything. Like the way she lost her family she never wanted to lose her family again. Inside her heart she tried to make it cold but Lucius brought her back to life and for that she loved him. She of course kept her emotions out of the picture, she was afraid of driving him away. She finished what little dinner she had and went to Lucius she peeked her head in seeing him there lost in thought. She slowly walked in and couldn't help but smile.
"Hello Captain" She said kindly even tho they were friends she hardly ever called him by his name.

When she walked, he could barely notice, of course when she spoke, he knew she was there for sure. Unstartled, he parted his eyes and looked over at her, "Hey, so you wanted to talk, what about?" he questioned her softly. It had been a little less than a year that he took her on board, she was helpful for her status in society, or at least the status her parents had. But she was also a wonderful mechanic, one of the betters he had seen in a long time. "Take a seat and we can talk about whatever you wish," he stated to her before adding more, "Oh, and how is our dear Liberta doing? Any parts we'll need to buy soon or she running fine for the time being?" He had to ask, he liked staying on top of things for his ship, mostly cause without his ship, he'd probably be stuck on some Alliance planet, ducking and hidding from them.

She smiled some and nodded "Ive done a full check and she is doing just fine, everything is in working order" She said kindly. She looked out her side of the window sighing softly "As for what I want to talk about..." She thought for a moment. "Every day I wake up and know that I have a place in this world...you have done more for me then you may ever know. When you found me my parents had died a month previous and I didn't think id ever make it." She said kindly looking up as she opened her eyes. "My parents anniversary of there death is tomorrow, I have trained myself to never let my emotions get the better of me, but it feels like I should do something to honor them." She looked at him, Mercy had tears in her eyes as she sighed some. "Its getting much harder to not express the way im feeling. You Lucius are the best friend ive ever had the only person I can call a friend."

Hearing that the ship was doing fine, he couldn't help but be pleased with that. He didn't mind spending credits on her, but when he didn't have to was better. Than she began to speak about what was actually bothering her. His smile dissappeared and he listened intently to her words. The fact her parents died, didn't seem to be any surprise to him, almost as if he knew it. In all honesty, he did. At the time, he was looking for a good mechanic, one better than the one he had, so he had Captain Conservan searching for one. Lucius found out on the day her parents died, but it took him a while to get there and actually find her. Course, he made it look like it was all by accident. She didn't need to know the truth, not about that at least. Giving a gentle nod to her words, he finally spoke up, "Best way to cherish life lost, is living a life to the fullest. Least that's what my grand-dad would say. No point in weeping for those lost when you have a full life ahead of you, don't forget them, but rather cherish the good times you had and be glad that they spent their time making you ready for the world. Plus, every parent wants to see their child succeed in life and I don't know many who could do that while they mourned for every close friend or family that passed on," he told her. He had odd wisdom and he always said it was from his grand-dad. In fact, most of the crew thought his 'grand-dad' had a saying for almost any situation, if not all of them, even the unexplainable situations that were rare to come by.

She listened to what he said and she nodded, she could almost hear her mother telling her to live her life, for six months she couldn't sleep well, she was afraid of someone else being taken away from her. "You sound like my mother" She said finally "She would have told me to go for you....your the kind of guy my mother would want me to marry" She couldn't help but smile even more. "But there is one thing I was taught that I follow very closely" She took a deep breath as she looked at him kindly.
"when...when we die, then the memories of the dead will be gone forever, but as long as I go on living, a part of them will continue to live on...thats why, were needed to live..." She held her emotions as she let her words sink in, but finally she looked at him.

Listening to her and watching her, he perked a brow at her words, I sound like her mother, he thought to himself. The thought was rather disturbing to him, but the next sentence was a bit more ackward for Lucius. Giving a gentle laugh, mostly to keep himself from running out the door, he turned his head and attention to what was just beyond the pilot window. Silence filled him rather quickly as she continued speaking, mostly to herself, Lucius wondered if that's how Mercy actually felt towards him. Never in his life was he one to really get close to anyone, everyone he had every loved ended up leaving him anyways, so he didn't want to do it again. Moving his hands, he grabbed the controls, removing them from auto-pilot and taking control himself. Why? He needed a distraction. "Yeah, my gramps would have to agree with that statement," he finally stated, "So is there anything else you'd like to discuss," he questioned as he adjusted their course slightly than put auto-pilot back on.

She nodded she took a deep breath she was afraid to push him away "There is one more thing" She said her voice sounding soft as she took another deep breath. "Most of what im feeling comes from you" She said finally "Every day I wake up in my quarters I thank god that you saved me from the darkness I was in. I do have feelings for you that I will admit but there is one reason I want you to know this. I do not mean to make you feel uncomfortable and im not backing you into a corner but just know Lucius I will stay with you and this ship until the breath has permanently left my lungs. I try so hard to be the best crew mate I can be, maybe part of me wishes to impress you over the others" She sighed some "If you ever need me, i'll be there for you"

Listening to her, he diverted his eyes from space to her and gave a faint smile. Loyalty, that's how he would describe her feelings and he was hoping that it would stay like that for her. There was no reason for her to become infacuated with him, most of all not with him. He was the captain of the ship, had to stay professional in above all things. Nodding softly, he spoke up as she finished, "You don't need to impress me, Mercy. You're a damn fine mechanic, probably the best I've ever seen and you are the best crew mate you can be. You do your job and you do it good, that's all I can ask out of any of you," he stated with a firm nod quickly following. "Oh, and for the El Dorado job, do you think you could find a way to hack me a nice lil' passport? Ain't gonna be using my own ya know," he stated with a laugh. She would just figure it was to keep them safe, but honestly, he was a wanted man by the Alliance and the El Dorado was an Alliance ship, a cruise liner, but still Alliance.

She nodded at him, she silently knew she would try her hardest to win his heart but she would never admit that to anyone. She loved him and that was that, but she wasn't obsessed she wasn't that kind of person. When he asked about a passport she reached into her pocket taking one out. "You mean like this one here?" She giggled kindly showing it to him. "I have one for everyone just in case" She said kindly. "except I wouldn't worry the El Dorado owe me a favor well I should say my parents a favor" She grinned.

As she pulled out the passport, he gave out a gentle laugh, "Well, luckily you always seem to be on top of things, huh?" he stated as he took the passport from her and examined it. Course, he wouldn't be able to tell it was a forgery anyways, but he figured he'd at least try. "Not bad, but I don't even know what I'm looking for, but it should perfect. And the captain might owe your parents one, but I don't want us on his radar either. We don't need him watching over us with every move we take, might ruin our operations in taking that little priceless picture in their care," he stated with a gentle grin on his lips, "Always best to do that stuff under the radar."

She smiled "Don't worry about that, we wont be detected I added a little something to the ship, we wont be detected on most of the radars, there are some more advanced we must worry about but other then that we are all good" She crossed her arms grinning. "I am on top of things, I have to be since you keep me on my toes" She grinned happily, she couldn't help but giggle again.

She came walking onto the bridge, seeing the Captain in the pilots chair, and Mercy in the room as well. She looked over at Mercy and smiled, "Hey, Mercy...did you make up that ID card yet?" Already knowing the answer by looking in Lucius' hand. Her eyes slowly left Mercy and went over to the Captain. "Captain, I have a question about this object we're going after." She turned her head more towards him, "You do realize that it belongs to a powerful member of the Alliance Senate? If we are even suspected of having it we will be in a world of danger." She softened up her stare, "But I will admit...it will sell for a rather large sum of credits. If we can find a handler gutsy enough to move it." She could tell that her questions didn't sit well with them, but then again most things she would ask about people didn't like.

Giving a gentle laugh at Mercy's comment, he nodded his head firmly, "Good mechanics are the ones on their toes, but since you're good to begin with, you'll just make the perfect one when you're on your toes," he with a smile pressed to his lips. The moment another voice entered the air, his smile disappeared and he turned to look at Yoko. Listening to Yoko's lil' question, or perhaps long statement, he simply gave her a short laugh, "I know everything about the item and believe you me, we wouldn't be going after it if there weren't someone interested in buying it. It's a King Official doing the paying. 'Bout one hundred thousand creds too. So it should pay for everything we are gonna be doing." He had already figured that the cost to get the painting would be about forty-five thousand credits, but he would just be slightly in debt to those that knew him well enough. "Only thing you need to worry about, Yoko, is not getting caught on the job, once we are off that ship, it will be smooth sailing," hopefully, he added to himself as he smiled at Yoko.
Looking over at Mercy, he nodded towards her, "We should be at the dock Eldorado is by noon tomorrow at best. In time to get on and set up everything needed," shifting his eyes towards Yoko, he glared slightly at her, "Just make sure you and Topsy get the shuttle in the VIP docking area or else we won't have a way to escape." Since the shuttle was a short range shuttle, they would only have about three hours to get it done, that is considering everything goes well too. This job might get interesting if they ain't careful.

She looked over at the Captain, listening to what he had to say. She figured he had it all planned out but still felt better knowing it herself. As he finished speaking she frowned slightly before leaving the room, "Of course we will be on the ship as planned. When have we ever let you down Captain?"
